Copper & Brass Kitchenware

Premium hotelware crafted from 100% recycled metals, finished by hand, built to last a lifetime.

Where Ancient Craft Meets Modern Precision

Brass and copper are not simply materials. They are the foundation on which Indian culinary culture was built, metals that have heated kitchens, served maharajas, and defined the aesthetics of the world’s finest hospitality spaces for centuries.

At Shibu, brass and copper are where we began. Long before aluminium and stainless steel, our founders established Shibu Metal Works in Jagadhri — the brass city of India — in 1942, producing the finest brass and copper utensils in the country. Eight decades later, we have returned to our roots with a premium hotelware range that marries that founding craftsmanship with the precision engineering capabilities of a modern industrial giant.

The result is a collection that the world’s finest hotel kitchens trust by name.

Trusted By The World's Most Prestigious Hospitality Brands

The Shibu Brass & Copper hotelware range is the choice of India’s most discerning hospitality procurement teams, supplying five-star hotel groups including ITC Hotels, Taj Hotels, Kempinski Resorts, Hyatt, Marriott and the list keeps on going. When a kitchen demands the visual authority of premium metalware alongside the structural integrity to withstand continuous professional use, Shibu is the answer.

We perfectly align with global hospitality brands’ ESG goals through our products’ 100% recycled nature.

100% Recycled. Zero Compromise On Quality.

Every piece in our brass and copper range is manufactured from 100% recycled, premium-grade brass and copper, Brass 70:30 (70% copper, 30% zinc) and Copper 999 (pure copper). Our commitment to recycled metals is not a marketing claim, it is a founding philosophy that has guided our manufacturing since 1942, long before sustainability became a corporate imperative.

Recycled brass and copper, when sourced and processed to the exacting standards we demand, deliver identical thermal conductivity, structural integrity, and surface finish to virgin metal, with a significantly lower environmental footprint. Every Shibu brass and copper piece is our commitment to the planet as much as it is to your kitchen.

The Signature: Mathaar Finish By Thatheras

Every piece in our hotelware range is available in the signature Mathaar finish, the traditional hammered texture achieved by the skilled hands of Jagadhri’s master Thatheras, craftsmen who have practiced this ancient metalworking art for generations.

The Mathaar finish is not merely aesthetic. The hammering process work-hardens the metal surface, increasing structural density and durability while creating the distinctive handcrafted character that no machine can replicate. Each hammer mark is a testament to the living craft heritage of Jagadhri, the brass city that has supplied the world’s kitchens for over a century.

Proprietary Engineering: The Extra Heavy Bottom Tope

Our innovation, the Copper Extra Heavy Bottom Tope, represents the meeting point of ancient craft and cutting-edge precision engineering. Using a technique developed exclusively by Shibu, we deep-draw the vessel to the desired bottom thickness and flow-form it on state-of-the-art CNC machines imported from Germany. The result is a cooking pot with an extra heavy bottom and reinforced edges for unparalleled heat distribution and longevity, but with lightweight sides for practical handling. This process is available only at Shibu.
