Aluminium Kitchenware

Precision-pressed aluminium cookware. Built for the kitchens that feed the world.

The Metal That Built Modern India's Kitchens.

When India needed lightweight, durable, affordable cookware at scale for its soldiers, its refugee camps, its gurdwaras, its schools and its street kitchens it turned to aluminium. And for decades, it has turned to Shibu.

Aluminium is where Shibu found its calling. We were among the first manufacturers in India to recognise its potential in the 1960s, and we have spent the intervening decades mastering every dimension of its production from the metallurgy of the alloy to the geometry of the press, from the thickness of the gauge to the final mirror finish achieved by hand. Today, our aluminium range is the most comprehensive in India, spanning sizes from 200ml to vessels that can feed an entire village in a single batch.

Trusted By Those Who Cook At Scale

Our aluminium kitchenware is the trusted choice of India’s most demanding high-volume cooking operations, gurdwaras and mandirs serving langar to thousands daily, NGOs and humanitarian organisations distributing food in the field, the Indian Armed Forces feeding jawans on the frontlines, government school kitchen programmes, and informal catering operations running the backbone of India’s food culture. When volume, durability and value matter most, aluminium is the answer and Shibu is the manufacturer.

The

Chhilai

Standard

Every Shibu aluminium vessel is available in the Chhilai finish, the finishing technique invented right here in Jagadhri by our own Shri Kanta Prasad Ji.

Chhilai works by spinning vessels at extreme RPMs while precision-skimming the microscopic top layer of the metal, revealing a flawless, mirror-like surface beneath. The result is a finish of exceptional uniformity and brilliance that no polishing compound can replicate. True to our founding philosophy, we never patented Chhilai. We shared it with the world. Today it is the undisputed gold standard for aluminium vessel finishing, adopted by manufacturers across the globe. Every vessel that carries the Chhilai finish carries a piece of Jagadhri’s legacy.

Five Finishes. Every Application.

Our aluminium range is available in five distinct finishes to suit every context and preference:

Washed

Clean, natural aluminium surface. The baseline standard for institutional and humanitarian supply.

Mathaar

Traditional hand-hammered finish by Jagadhri’s master craftsmen. Each dot represents one strike of a specialised polished hammer. Authenticity made visible. A UNESCO recognized craft.

Anodised

Hard-sealed surface for enhanced corrosion resistance, deeper colour retention, and extended product life. Ideal for outdoor and long-deployment use.

Chillai

Also known as frosted sunray finish. Precision-polished with emery for a uniform, soft lustre. The preferred finish for commercial catering and hospitality.

Mirror

Ground and polished at high speed to an absolutely flawless, mirror-like surface. The premium finish for presentation-grade cookware.

Every piece of aluminium in our range is manufactured from 100% recycled, premium-grade metal, a zero-waste philosophy our founders instituted in 1942, decades before sustainability became a corporate imperative. Our closed-loop dross processing ensures maximum material efficiency, and our ESG-compliant manufacturing credentials make us the preferred supply partner for international NGOs, UN agencies, and global humanitarian organisations with strict sustainability mandates.

100% Recycled. Zero Compromise.

An Engineering Achievement: The Size 100 Tope

In 1995, Shri Kanta Prasad Ji pressed the impossible. A 50.5-inch, 850-litre aluminium cooking pot from a single circle of metal. No welds, no joints, no seams. One piece.

We have since refined and expanded that capability. Our Size 100 Aluminium Tope, 50.5 inches in diameter, holding approximately 880 litres, is pressed entirely jointless from a single aluminium circle under our hydraulic presses.

“It is the largest single-piece cooking vessel in the world.”
